The short version. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. We collect nothing from you here. And the app you buy processes your documents entirely on your own computer - they are never uploaded anywhere, including to us.
documentmakeover.com is a single page. It has no contact form, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no embedded fonts or scripts from other companies, and it stores nothing on your device. If a cookie banner is what you were expecting, there is nothing here to consent to.
Our host, SiteGround, keeps ordinary server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for security and troubleshooting, as essentially every web host does. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you.
Document Makeover runs inside your browser on your own machine. The documents you load, the logos you add and the PDFs you export never leave your computer, and never reach us. There is no account, no sync and no server to phone home to.
The one exception is optional: if you switch on the AI features, the text or prompt for that specific request is sent to the AI provider you chose, using your own API key. That is a direct relationship between you and that provider, under their privacy policy. Leave those features off and nothing is transmitted at all.
Checkout is handled by Gumroad, Inc., which acts as merchant of record. Gumroad collects your name, email address, billing country and payment details, and processes the payment. We never see or store your card details.
From Gumroad we receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, so we can deliver the product, answer support questions and honor refunds. Gumroad handles this data under its own privacy policy: gumroad.com/privacy.
If you write to support, we keep your message and email address so we can reply and refer back to it if you write again. We do not add you to a mailing list from a support email, and we do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and refund obligations. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful, and cleared out periodically.
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it - write to support@documentmakeover.com and we will action it. Purchase records we are required to keep for tax purposes are the one thing we may not be able to delete on request. Data held by Gumroad is requested directly from Gumroad.
This product is sold to adults and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date at the top. Material changes to how we handle data will be described rather than slipped in quietly.
